新加坡小一入学，一般就读前一年七月初开始小一新生报名，分成7个阶段，历时大致两个月。
阶段一 – 阶段六：孩子是公民或者永久居民 For children who are Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
阶段七：外国人（非公民或者永久居民）意腾国际留学WWW.EISTUDY.COM主要客户类型
阶段一 (Phase 1)：
For a child who has a sibling studying in the primary school of choice
这个阶段是给那些自己的亲生哥哥或姐姐, 目前正在所选学校就读的儿童。符合这个阶段报名的孩子们，享有最大的优先权。

Phase 2A(1) 阶段二 (Phase 2A1)
这个阶段对两类学生给以优先报名。
(a) For a child whose parent is a former student of the primary school and who has joined the alumni association as a member not later than 30 June 2011. 父母曾经是此校的学生并且在2011年6月30日之前加入校友会成员。
(b) For a child whose parent is a member of the School Advisory / Management Committee
父母是校董会管理委员会的成员。

Phase 2A(2) 阶段三 (Phase 2A2)
For a child whose parent or sibling has studied in the primary school of choice
父母或者哥哥,姐姐曾经在此校就读过。
(b) For a child whose parent is a staff member of the primary school of choice
父母是学校的教职人员。

公布结果：Friday, 13 July 2012
Phase 2B 阶段四 (Phase 2B)
这个阶段对三类学生给以优先报名：
For a child whose parent has joined the primary school as a parent volunteer not later than 1 Jul 2011 and has given at least 40 hours of voluntary service to the school by 30 Jun 2012
父母加入学校做义工（2011年以前），并且在2012年6月30日已经服务超过40个小时以上。
对于这一点，中国家长常常报有希望，或者询问我们可以帮助报名义工么。
*首先，做义工不等于有保障，也只是增加入学的几率而已，不保证入学的。坊间排名高学校的义工名额也是很抢手，并不容易申请。
其次该批次开放申请只是针对新加坡公民和永久居民。
(b) For a child whose parent is a member endorsed by the church/clan directly connected with the primary school
如果学校是有教会等宗教及其他团体资助的，父母是其成员。
(c) For a child whose parent is endorsed as an active community leader
父母是积极地基层领袖。
报名时间：Thursday, 19 July 2012；Friday, 20 July 2012
公布结果：Wednesday, 25 July 2012
Phase 2C 阶段五 (Phase 2C)
For all children who are eligible for Primary One in the following year and are not yet registered in a primary school
还没有注册学校的2013年1月份入学的适龄学童。

公布结果：Tuesday, 7 August 2012
阶段六 (Phase 2C Supplementary)
如果在阶段五没能注册到学校，那么就要在这个阶段另外找还有学额的学校报名了。

公布结果：Tuesday, 21 August 2012
注：从2012年开始，小一入学新加坡公民享有绝对优先权。新公民和永久居民将在同一阶段申请，但如果申请人数超过学额，将首先录取公民，然后才会考虑住址-学校的距离。
From the 2012 P1 Registration Exercise onwards, when balloting is necessary in a specific phase, Singapore Citizens (SCs) will be given absolute priority over Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs). SCs and PRs will continue to be eligible for the same phases, and all applicants will be admitted if the total number of applications in any phase does not exceed the number of vacancies. However, if the number of applications exceeds the number of vacancies in a specific phase, SCs will be admitted first ahead of PRs, before home-school distance is considered.
