南洋理工大学（http://www.eistudy.com/ntu/about.html）耗资3000万元设立崭新的添加层制造中心，进一步加强新加坡在三维打印方面的技术。中心获得经济发展管理局的支持，将设有最前沿的三维打印机和生物打印机，可制造工业使用的铁质材料和人类细胞组织。此外，南大增材制造中心（NTU Additive Manufacturing Centre，简称NAMC）将举办新加坡首个国际三维打印比赛。比赛分成两个组别，即设计可穿戴的现代服饰和算盘。这项开放给新加坡人和外国人参加的比赛截止日期为11月1日（周五）。各组冠军各可获得价值1万元的奖品。

Singapore International 3D Printing Competitions
Additive Manufacturing (AM) technology or 3D printing will revolutionize the manufacturing supply chain and bring about a fundamental shift in design paradigm. This technology, that enables physical parts to be generated layer by layer directly from design drawing, is one of the key disruptive technologies in the Future of Manufacturing (FOM) plan in Singapore.
A highly skilled workforce is necessary to establish and sustain the ecosystem of this industry; from designers to system specialists and so on. NTU will be a key partner in creating and nurturing this highly skilled workforce. In line with this objective, we have established the Singapore International 3D Printing Competitions to promote awareness and showcase the potential capabilities of 3D Printing as an enabler technology for various applications.
