G.P.A.(gradepointaverage)又称G.P.R.(gradepointratio)，即成绩点数与学分的加权平均值。在台湾，学业成绩的计算是采百分点制(即零分到一百分)，在计算G.P.A.时须先将百分点的分数换算成等级点数(gradepoint)。
如何计算自己的G.P.A.？
一般美国大学采用之计分法

有些美国大学则另有换算标准，如夏威夷大学研究所订定台湾地区学生G.P.A.的换算标准如下：

由於美国大学G.P.A.的换算方式并无统一的标准，且如按其标准换算，我国的学生在G.P.A.计算上比较吃亏，所以除非学校特别说明，同学们可依照原就读学校自订的标准换算，也即是英文成绩单上的换算表。成绩点数与学分的加权平均值换算法如下：
例如：某位学生修习三门课，其课目、学分及成绩分别为：英文三学分92分，化学五学分80分，数学二学分60分，G.P.A.的算法如下：
